NYC’s Team Facelift are a bunch of insane dudes who party like maniacs, cause moshpits at inappropriate times, and make songs for Girls Gone Wild videos. Naturally they are our homies.
TFL’s most recognizable character is The Fat Jew, a gentleman who got his name from his giant golden chi chain, bar mitzvah tattoos, penchant for eating kosher and non kosher food by the fistfull, and twice circumcised schmeckle. He is now starring in a TV pilot about an overweight hebrew who moves to the big city to become pursue her dreams. Yes, HER. He does the whole show in drag. And based on the two most important ratios for determining TV success of making out to vomiting and eating to drinking, this show is going to be Jersey Shore meets Seinfeld at a gangbang.
Drop the Lime — Sex Sax from Trouble & Bass on Vimeo.
The new video for homie Drop The Lime features so many Overthrow friends and fam it feels like watching the youtube video your boys shot while on summer vacation. BBQ time! Featuring cameos by AC Slater, Star Eyes, The Captain, Nick Catchdubs, Dust La Rock, and many more of the NYC/Miami party crossover crew. There may even be some Miami girls we all know and love who make an appearance! From Trouble & Bass’s Heavy Bass Champions of the World series, this track is a banger and the video is what would happen if there were speakers blaring bass music all over the city. Ahh, what a wonderful world it would be…
New videogame, I mean video, for the lead single “Circuit Breaker” from Mark Ronson’s upcoming compilation album. Dude smashes everything in a cool way that never seems contrived or trying too hard. He just kinda does whatever he’s feeling, which clearly is awesome when whatever your doing is drenched in quirky charm, artistocratic privilege, NYC grooves and rock royalty. Its the self styled soundtrack to one of the hippest lives around.

CLOAK & DAGGER NYC
THE SECRET SPREADS…
After being the worst kept secret in the City, tales of the deeds done at Cloak & Dagger continue to spread. At Santo’s Party House, the special guests keep showing up, the unannounced music acts keep playing, and the crowd keeps raging until the lights go on.
Now the monthly meeting of Miami, LA, and NYC is spreading the word and bringing a couple more proper scoundrels to get in on the action.
Miami’s prodigal producer Sonic C is coming and bringing a whole new batch of hot tracks he just finished for Winter Music Conference. Trouble & Bass’s Deathface will be playing his batch of electrometal remixes and tracks. NYC’s Fixed residents JDH and Dave P round out the jams.
Downstairs, the legendary DJ Cosmo Baker from Brooklyn’s The Rub will be joining the hottest hussy in production and downtown diva Gina Turner.
Joining the Overthrow and Dim Mak is NYC’s master of ceremonies and acronyms GBH. And with friends like these, who needs sobriety?
$5 before midnight.

Nero, the last Roman Emperor, who ascended the throne at age 13, is most famously known as the ruler who “played the fiddle as Rome burned”.
Today, in the same spirit of soundtracking destruction, Overthrow is proud to present the American debut of dub step and drum n bass mega-duo NERO!
Performing in NYC for their first time in the states before heading to Miami to perform at ULTRA Music Festival in front of nearly 100,000 electronic music fans, NERO is going to show how they have become some the biggest names in heavy bass and rapid pace across the pond.
Also there (possibly for visa reasons) will be Overthrow DJ Damaged Goods, Trouble & Bass’s The Captain, and Method’s Dave Gee.
With a line up like that and a venue like (Le) Poisson Rouge, it’s going to be a heavy hitting night in the streets of New Amsterdam.

Cloak & Dagger unveiled more secrets this month featuring guests from the Ed Banger Crew including Justice, Mehdi, Uffie, and Feadz as well as Holy Ghost!, Nick Catchdubs, Buckshot, Spankrock, Dances With White Girls, Roxy Cottontail, Bronques from Lastnightsparty and many more people who are or should be on HBO’s How to Make It In America (which happens to feature past C&D guest MC Kid Cudi).
Upstairs things were rocking with The Auctioneers twangy jams, followed by Japanther who phoned their way to a mosh pit, the antics of The Fat Jew and Team Facelift, and again causing riots was Ninjasonik (good peoples). Hip hop legend Buckshot from Duck Down Records jumped on the mic and spit a freestyle that floored everyone from the metal-heads to the entrepreneurs.
Downstairs Gina Turner took turns with the Ed Banger folks who rubbed shoulders with Atlanta and NYC socialites, Miami party girls, and enough nightlife photographers to have let the strobe lights take the night off. One of the dudes from Holy Ghost! came and DJed one song (his own) and then chilled while Mehdi danced his way through a incredible set of fresh jams.
Afterward everyone ended up at The Box, where nudity comes standard with a bottle of champagne and it’s not considered weird when someone has sex in a booth or does drugs off a table. Not that we encourage those kinds of things…

CLOAK & DAGGER has always been the one monthly event where NEW YORK, MIAMI, and LOS ANGELES come together in MANHATTAN and brought a NATIONAL unholy trinity of party energy to Santo’s Party House.
February, we go INTERNATIONAL, adding one of the biggest record labels and collective of hardcore electronic badasses in EUROPE.
As is the way of the Cloak & Dagger, these particular Europeans identities must remain a MYSTERY. We can narrow it down for you though: it is not PAVAROTTI. It may, however be DUKE ROCKINGTON OF JAMSHIRE. You’ll have to come and find out yourself.
Along with these confidential guests will be some of our favorite stage ragers NINJASONIK, FASHEN, JAPANTHER, TEAM FACELIFT, THE AUCTIONEERS, and DJ JONNY FAMOUS.
ROXY COTTONTAIL will be hosting along with OVERTHROW, ALIFE, and RCRD LBL.
