Launching the first official Dim Mak Records party in New York City is one fucking major thing. Launching it with NYC’s top design collective Alife is another. Kid Sister x Overthrow - Misfit Friday

Kid Sister killed it with Overthrow in Miami at Misfit Friday at Louis.

She scatted along to Overthrow’s favorite remix by Rusko of her track Pronails, the first time she ever had done anything with it live, and literally ran around the club double-fisting drinks and triple-destroying expectations with her new single Right Hand Up, produced by Swedish House Mafia. Damaged Goods and Troy Kurtz! held down the decks and provided a soundtrack for Kid Sis to George Minglestein with other special guests supermanager Sam “Bob” Ma, DJ Skeet Skeet, Atlanta’s Caleb Gauge, Playboy DJ Tamara Sky, and the best bunch of Misfits in Miami.

This Friday, DJ Ruen comes to make more misfit magic and the official release of the Misfit Friday’s Taste for Blood tank top. Get them while they’re raw.

Are you a Misfit?

Summer 2009 is officially over.

Now the real fun begins.

This week we celebrate the passing with a series of events across Miami that will make you forget the throes of humidity and rain and prepare you for the magic to come.

NYC Invasion: Berrie and ARE Weapons

NYC Invasion: Berrie and ARE Weapons

Dirty Hairy Wednesday ft. DJ Berrie (NYC/tenjune) : Before Overthrow heads up to NYC for the next couple of weeks, we have DJ Berrie, remix kid and NYC uber-resident and NYC rock darlings ARE Weapons joining Contra, Danny Daze, and Ross One at Dirty Hairy at LIV in the Fontainebleau to bring a taste of the Big Apple to Miami.

Ruen your weekend

Misfit Friday ft DJ Ruen: Following Kid Sister’s energy explosion of a performance last week, Miami hot boy DJ Ruen joins Damaged Goods (fresh back from DJing in Hotlanta) to show you what misfits really are at Louis in the Gansevoort South. Leather included.

Troy Kurtz!, Pirate Stereo, and Danny Daze? Ladies beware...

Troy Kurtz!, Pirate Stereo, and Danny Daze? Ladies beware...

Saturday Get Funk’d Up ft Danny Daze, Pirate Stereo, and Troy Kurtz!: Saturday in downtown not one, not two, but three soldiers from the Overthrow Army will be performing at the art and music festival at Soho Studios. Complimenting the beats will be art installations, on-site clothing designs, body painting, live music, and an elaborate glow-in-the-dark light show. Ravealicious! Plus, not only do you get a mega dose of creative culture, you get to help those not partying in Darfur as some of the proceeds go to Save Darfur! Helps make up for all the other stuff you did this week.

Celebrate the end of the summer by making some heat of your own.
