You don’t want to see me get evil…

This is some straight kill-you-slow murder music.
Dark, minimal beat with handclaps echoing through the basement where you hide bodies. Lyrics are the patois playbook for torture and revenge.
If by 3 minutes you still don’t think they’re evil, you may need to remind yourself where you hid the murder weapon.
If you STILL don’t think this guy’s bad, check the imagery of his album art. Machine gun toting death scarab ascending above the burning remains of a midapocalyptic city? I want to see him get evillllll

Deathface x Art of Murder - Miami Overthrow Black Magick Massacre 1/30

deathface-x-art-of-murder

Overthrow Presents Deathface at the White Room 1/30 from The Overthrow on Vimeo.

Is murder an art?

Is the splatter of blood across a white wall like a stroke of the painters brush?

Is the slashing of flesh and the breaking of bones like a sculptor molding his clay?

Can the most brutal and inhumane act capable of man be compared to the depth and meaning symbolized by the works of creative masters?!

These questions and more will be answered Saturday January 30th when Overthrow presents the return of The Art of Murder, the most diabolical exhibition of carnage ever considered an oeuvre. Perpetrated by the ‘Serial Killer of South Beach’ himself, Alexis Mincolla will reawaken the demons that drove him to create the largest body of blood soaked snuff films ever to hit a night club bathroom. Celebrities, DJs, musicians, models, scenesters, waitresses, children; his list of victims reads like a VIP guest list.

Rumored to have moved to NYC, it was recently discovered that the killing spree was only stopped after a court ordered junction put the madman in a home for the criminally insane. But now his time is up, and Mincolla and his killer crew are back and planning their next premeditated act of slaughter. No one is safe as word is this is going to be the most devastating massacre to date!

Featuring the lethal sounds of Deathface, the newest member of Brooklyn’s own Trouble & Bass assassin squad, expect the gore to reach new levels of horror!

BEWARE: IF YOU ATTEND YOU WILL SEE UNSPEAKABLE ACTS OF DEPRAVITY, HEAR SOUNDS THAT WILL HAUNT YOUR SOUL, AND LEAVE COVERED IN BLOOD!!!

It’s going to be a black night of evil at the White Room.

Arcade Saturdays - Come play. And die.

Coming from Rakontur: Dawg Fight

Rakontur always delivers raw and fresh projects. Whether its the zooted and graphic yet informative edge of Cocaine Cowboys, the proud and honest excitement of The U, or the untamed mayhem of Bella Rose, you know they are going to cut the bullshit and deliver an unexpected good time.

Their next project follows suit with another distinctly Miami story of the backyard brawling that spawned Kimbo Slice and several other MMA fighters. Serving as both an outlet for the poverty fueled aggression and a source of income in an underprivileged area, the fights are sometimes the only work many ex cons can find. It also gives an inside look into the suburban ghettos of Miami, an area often overshadowed by Liberty City but equally rife with the problems of poverty but rich in community (this is where the Mayor of Miami rapper Trick Daddy is from).

Rakontur’s Alfred Spellman says it should be done by March. Also, if you want a preview of the action, Dawg Fight star Dada is planning on getting out of the yard and into the ring at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in March.

Misfit Friday ft Tamara Sky at Louis in Miami Jan 22

tamara-sky-122 Misfit Fridays at Louis in the Gansevoort South have become the hub of sexual debauchery on Miami Beach, a mix of beautiful and irresponsible youth behaving so badly that one of the world’s foremost experts in misbehavior DJ Tamara Sky decided she had to jump on the decks to see if it was possible to make it even sexier.

My guess is yes, but barely.

Known for being the sexiest DJ in the world, the former Playmate Tamara Sky not only looks good behind the turntables but is a master of channeling her overwhelming sexual energy directly through the speakers and into your loins. Thats right people, there will be loin channeling!

Just last week she held her own while opening for Trouble & Bass’s Drop The Lime and her skills as a master DJ are beginning to overshadow her killer looks and raucous attitude!

So if you have a penchant for decadence, a taste for the nefarious, and a hunger for bad, Misfit Friday is waiting.

Are you a Misfit?

Drop The Lime x Sloppy Seconds x Miami - Pictures from the Future

As Baba Venga predicted, the future came fast as a post nuclear war half-man/half-robot doing the robot dance at White Room for Arcade Saturday January 16th. Atlanta, Miami, and Brooklyn were in full force for the first Sloppy Seconds in South Florida and the energy and people came out of the woodwork. The room was full by midnight and Overthrow DJs Troy Kurtz! and Damaged Goods got things going fast and early. Then Playboy’s best DJ Tamara Sky worked the crowd into a dance floor fervor as the drinks flowed and the bodies moved to a jam filled mix of electro, hip-hop, and dub. By the times Trouble & Bass’s Drop The Lime got on, there was not an inch of room left as a packed crowd pumped their fists and moved as one. On stage with the Overthrow crew were homies and frequent collaborators DJ Craze and Danny Daze, with everyone in full effect as the place got physical to the bottomed out bangers and live vocal looping that DTL rocked all night. Charis Kirchheimer, 8mts.com, Miami New Times, and the Bandits were all out shooting and taking pictures in front of the Sacred Geometry backdrop, and as DJ Smiles closed out the end of the night even owner and birthday boy Luis Fonseca had to smile at the energy that had stirred the souls of downtown Miami

dim

Mega producer D.I.M. has recently been spending his time traveling the globe playing music festivals for hundreds of thousands of screaming fans, released one of the biggest electronic tracks of the year with ‘Lyposuct‘, and signed to Boys Noize Records, and now they are coming to downtown Miami to play the comparatively tiny White Room because, well because we like to rage in a our own private sin bin, thats why.

As if that wasn’t enough, we will be celebrating Miami bass maestro Juan Basshead’s birthday, Overthrow’s Damaged Goods and Troy Kurtz! will be pulling magick out of their bag of tricks, and a host of other safety concerns will be raised.

So be there Saturday January 23rd as D.I.M. plays the most personal and exclusive show of his tour and you party so hard that Homeland security raises the terror alert to dark black.

Arcade Saturday - Come play.
